About the RoleAt KARL STORZ, we are shaping the future of the digital operating room. As a Product Deployment Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering advanced operating room integration solutions that help healthcare providers improve efficiency, communication, and patient outcomes.
This highly visible, field-based position combines technical expertise, customer interaction, and hands‑on installation work within hospital and surgical environments. Working alongside experienced Site Leads and deployment teams, you will install, configure, and support integrated OR systems that include audio‑visual technology, network infrastructure, software applications, and imaging solutions.

This is a field‑based role requiring up to 80% travel across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Flexible availability for project‑based schedules, including occasional evenings and weekends, is required.
What You'll Do- Install and deploy integrated operating room systems, including AV, network, and software technologies within hospital environments.
- Perform equipment installation, cable pulling, termination, cable management, and system setup in accordance with established standards and project requirements.
- Configure software applications, network‑connected devices, and OR integration platforms to support successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with Site Leads, deployment teams, customers, and hospital personnel to execute projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Follow all standard operating procedures, safety protocols, installation standards, and hospital requirements while maintaining a professional onsite presence.
- Complete project documentation, time reporting, expense submissions, and administrative responsibilities accurately and on time.
- High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in audio‑visual systems, cabling, networking, medical devices, field service, technology deployment, or related industries.
- Experience with cable installation, termination, equipment mounting, or network‑based systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and work independently while maintaining a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to meet hospital credentialing requirements and maintain facility access.
- Experience working in an integrated operating room, healthcare, or hospital environment.
- Familiarity with CAT5/6, fiber optic, coaxial, copper, or multi‑conductor cabling systems.
