A well-established dairy equipment and service company is seeking hands-on, customer-focused Dairy Equipment Service Technicians to support customers in North-Central Michigan and Michigan’s Thumb region
. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working directly with dairy producers and building a long-term career in the dairy industry.
As a Dairy Equipment Service Technician, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair dairy equipment and related systems at customer locations throughout your assigned service area. You will work independently and alongside an experienced service team to provide timely, dependable solutions that help dairy operations run efficiently.

- Install, maintain and service dairy equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing and refrigeration-related equipment issues.
- Obtain replacement parts, complete repairs and calibrate systems according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Clearly explain equipment issues and recommended solutions to customers.
- Document labor, parts and installed equipment using mobile field service software.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of parts, tools and safety equipment in an assigned service vehicle.
- Travel to dairy farms and other customer locations within your assigned region.
- Coordinate with the service dispatcher and communicate scheduling updates or delays.
- Recognize opportunities for equipment upgrades, preventive maintenance agreements and additional services.
- Participate in a rotating after-hours, on-call schedule with other service technicians.
- Follow established company procedures and safety requirements.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing professional, responsive and dependable service.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, welding, plumbing and refrigeration.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in equipment technology.
- Previous experience servicing dairy equipment, agricultural equipment, refrigeration systems or similar mechanical systems is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in urgent or stressful service situations.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively with a team.
- Organized and comfortable using a smartphone-based field service program.
- A genuine interest in supporting dairy producers and the dairy industry.
- Willingness to travel throughout an assigned regional service area and participate in rotating on-call coverage.
