Industrial Maintenance Technician

Pay rate is open D.O.E. $30-40.00/hr. 1,5 Markup for OT. plus per diem.

4+ Month contract

We are seeking hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technicians with a combination of:

  • Mechanical maintenance
  • Industrial electrical
  • Industrial controls
  • PLC troubleshooting
  • VFD/drive troubleshooting
  • Robotics
  • Machine repair and troubleshooting

Candidates do not necessarily need to be experts in every discipline, but the four-person maintenance team should collectively provide strong mechanical, electrical, and controls skill sets.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot production equipment failures on the plant floor.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting.
  • Repair and replace motors, drives, sensors, switches, relays, contractors, wiring, pneumatic components, mechanical assemblies, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, and other machine components.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery.
  • Troubleshoot industrial VFDs and motor-control systems.
  • Assist with replacement of obsolete drives and control components.
  • Support machine and control-panel modifications.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical installation work associated with equipment upgrades.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and machine documentation.
  • Troubleshoot robot cells and associated peripheral equipment.
  • Assist with safety-system troubleshooting and upgrades.
  • Support equipment startup and commissioning following repairs and modifications.
  • Work directly with plant Maintenance, Engineering, vendors, and outside contractors.
  • Support planned shutdown work and major equipment-upgrade projects.
  • Respond to production breakdowns and help return equipment to service safely and efficiently.

The facility's obsolescence plan specifically identifies maintenance and engineering as the resources responsible for several major drive and safety upgrades.

The facility has numerous legacy systems, including PLC-5, TI controls, DOS-based equipment, obsolete drives, and older HMI platforms, making strong legacy-equipment troubleshooting experience especially valuable.
