Service Technician - Mechanical & Industrial Lubrication Systems

Location: Detroit, MI

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours per Week + Overtime Opportunities

Are you a mechanically inclined problem solver who enjoys working independently and helping customers? We are seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial lubrication equipment at automotive dealerships and industrial facilities. This is a hands-on role with excellent opportunities to learn specialized equipment systems and grow your technical skills.

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining oil and lubricant pumping systems
• Servicing equipment such as oil pumps, meters, filtration systems, distillation units, recycling equipment, and related machinery
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and performing repairs or component replacements
• Installing new equipment and piping systems
• Testing equipment to ensure proper operation and performance
• Operating power and metalworking tools to fabricate or repair parts
• Loading, unloading, and transporting equipment using a company service truck
• Completing service paperwork, work orders, and parts documentation
• Communicating directly with customers regarding service needs and repair recommendations
• Following all company safety procedures and job site requirements
• Supporting other service and maintenance projects as assigned

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Valid Chauffeur's License (or ability to obtain one)
• Clean driving record
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
• Excellent attendance and reliability
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic math skills

• Pipe fitting or plumbing experience
• Certificate or Associate Degree in Plumbing, Pipe fitting, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field
• Previous experience servicing industrial, automotive, or mechanical equipment
• Experience operating forklifts, hi-lo equipment, or scissor lifts

• Frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds
• Occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in confined spaces
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
