Journeyman Electrician

Job Description

Welcome to D&J Electric Company! We have been family owned and operated since 1980. We are looking to hire a full-time Journeyman to join our team. We offer services in both Residential and Commercial settings and specialize in Service Calls, New Construction, Remodels and Standby Generator Installs.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose services on electrical concerns in both residential and commercial settings.
• Install electrical fixtures, components and systems according to code.
• Install Standby Generators and Automatic Transfer Switches.
• Electrical/Generator service calls
• Heavy lifting is required
  - Physical performance required but not limited to: bending, climbing ladders, pulling, grasping and walking on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
• Follow standard practices and governmental regulations and laws relating to powered equipment.
• Follow designated designs, instructions and codes.
• Occasional machinery operation.

• Valid Driver’s License
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• MUST have a current Journeyman License in the state of Michigan and be in good standing.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints and schematics.
• Skilled in interpersonal relations and written/ oral communications.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to work as a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  * Training will be provided for all services offered.
