Role Description

This full-time role is based on-site in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. As a Family Service Counselor at Everstory Partners, you will guide clients through the planning process for end-of-life services, offering compassionate and personalized support. Responsibilities include assisting families in selecting burial or cremation services, explaining available memorialization options, and ensuring all arrangements align with their needs and preferences. You will also develop meaningful relationships with families, maintain records, and collaborate with team members to provide exceptional service during sensitive times.

Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills to provide compassionate and personalized support to families
  • Organizational and time management skills to coordinate and document arrangements accurately
  • Sales, customer service, and problem-solving skills to offer appropriate solutions and address client needs
  • Proficiency in using technology and software tools for record-keeping and communication purposes
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and maintain confidentiality
  • Understanding of grief and bereavement processes; experience in death care services is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
  • Willingness to work on-site and provide support to families in the Detroit Metropolitan Area
