About the Position

School Psychologist opportunity in Charlotte, MI, supporting students across K-12 and fostering academic success, social-emotional growth, and a positive school climate.

The role includes conducting psycho educational evaluations, participating in problem‑solving team meetings, collaborating with teachers and administrators, consulting with families, administering and interpreting standardized assessments, contributing to eligibility determinations for special education services, developing data‑driven recommendations, providing individual and group counseling, social skills training, behavior plan development, and staff consultation on classroom management and student engagement strategies.

Typical work hours follow a school‑day schedule on weekdays, with additional time for meetings, evaluations, and family communication as needed during the school year. The caseload and building assignments aim for a manageable balance between testing, intervention, and consultation.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
  • State Certification and/or Licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working in a school setting
  • School Psychologist Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and behavioral interventions
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and techniques used in school and educational settings
  • Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
