About TNFCThe New Foster Care’s (TNFC) is a 501c (3) non-profit organization based out of Oakland County. Founded in 2016, TNFC is a faith-based organization committed to making transformative changes within the Michigan foster care system creating a measurable, and meaningful impact in the lives of youth in and aging out of foster care.
TNFC serves people ages 14-29 through its Bridge Program, a comprehensive transitional support model that centers the young person as the driver of their own plan. Participants work with a Transition Services Supervisor, Peer Support Specialist, Personal Wellness Coach, and Attorney to address any issues hindering their progress and develop a strategy for success across six life domains:
Education, Employment, Housing, Transportation, Mental & Physical Health, and Community Connection.

Position SummaryThe Transition Services Supervisor (TSS) provides day-to-day leadership, supervision, and professional development for the Transition Navigator team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, participant-centered case management services. The TSS is responsible for coaching, mentoring, and supporting staff to ensure services remain aligned with TNFC's mission, Transition to Independence (TIP) model fidelity, organizational standards, and contractual requirements.
In addition to supervising staff, the TSS maintains a smaller participant caseload to remain engaged in direct service delivery, provide hands‑on support during complex situations, and model best practices in participant engagement. The TSS works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure participants receive coordinated, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services that promote successful transitions into adulthood. The Transition Services Supervisor is accountable for the overall performance, quality, and effectiveness of Transition Navigator services, ensuring staff are equipped to deliver exceptional participant outcomes while advancing TNFC's mission and strategic objectives.
The Transition Services Supervisor reports directly to the Program Director and works collaboratively with the Associate Executive Director and other organizational leaders.
Essential Responsibilities and Expectations Leadership & Staff Supervision- Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, mentoring, and support to Transition Navigators.
- Conduct regular individual supervision meetings and team meetings to review participant progress, documentation, service delivery, and professional development.
- Monitor caseload distribution and workload to ensure equitable assignments and quality participant care.
- Review documentation for accuracy, quality, compliance, and timeliness while providing constructive feedback and coaching.
- Support employee onboarding, training, performance management, and ongoing professional development.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new Transition Navigators.
- Model professional excellence, trauma-informed practice, participant engagement, and ethical decision-making.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team culture aligned with TNFC's mission and values.
- Demonstrate servant leadership by fostering trust, accountability, professional growth, and a participant-centered culture across the Transition Services team.
- Maintain oversight of participant services provided by the Transition Navigator team to ensure consistency, quality, and fidelity to the TIP Model.
- Monitor participant outcomes and progress across all six transition domains.
- Provide consultation and guidance on complex participant situations, crisis intervention, community resource coordination, and service planning.
- Collaborate with Peer Support Specialists, Personal Wellness Coaches, Clinical Services, Legal Services, and community partners to coordinate integrated participant care.
- Assist staff in removing barriers to participant success while promoting participant self-determination and independence.
