Most Holy Trinity Catholic Academy in Detroit is seeking a compassionate and dedicated part-time School Counselor/Social Worker to join our team. This role is vital in providing emotional and social support to our students, helping them navigate challenges and succeed academically and personally. Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students
- Address social, emotional, and behavioral issues affecting students
- Develop and implement programs to support student well-being and academic success
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student needs
- Conduct assessments and provide referrals to external resources when necessary
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of student support plans
Qualifications: Possess at least one (1) of the following:
- Master’s degree in social work (MSW) with a valid Michigan School Social Worker license, OR
- Michigan Counselor (or School Counselor) License with a master’s degree from an accredited University.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience providing social work or counseling services.
Additional Responsibilities Previous Counselor Ran & Aided. You will be in contact with previous counselor to aid in the transition
