We are seeking a talented and experienced Jira Developer/Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and customizing Jira applications, with expertise in RESTful APIs and a foundational knowledge of Java and Python. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Jira solutions to meet our business needs while ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Note: W2 role only, NO C2C
Responsibilities- Jira Development: Design, develop, and customize Jira solutions, including workflows, dashboards, and plugins, to enhance functionality and user experience.
- REST API Development: Create and maintain RESTful APIs for integrating Jira with other applications and services, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- System Architecture: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement architecture strategies and best practices for Jira deployments.
- Integration: Work on integrating Jira with third-party tools and systems, utilizing both custom and out-of-the-box solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize Jira performance, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.
- Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API specifications, and user manuals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and Dev Ops, to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Jira environments, addressing user issues and implementing new features as required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with Jira development and administration.
- Strong experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Proficiency in Java and/or Python for scripting and automation tasks.
- In-depth knowledge of Jira Software and Jira Service Management.
- Familiarity with Jira plugins, such as Script Runner or Jira Misc Workflow Extensions.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management practices.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with cloud-based Jira solutions (e.g., Atlassian Cloud).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
