Software Engineer, Cloud Engineer - Software
Location: Detroit, MI or Charlotte, NC (3 days onsite)
Contract Length: 6 Months (Potential for Extension)
OverviewOur financial client is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join one of its largest and most advanced Salesforce organizations. This team operates across eight Salesforce instances, supporting major business lines—ultimately impacting nearly half of the company’s operations. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, enterprise‑level systems with high visibility and broad technical impact.
As a Salesforce Developer, you will perform end‑to‑end custom development using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), integrations, and support heavy data flows between systems. You’ll work within Agile teams, contribute to enhancements and bug fixes, and partner closely with technical leads, business stakeholders, and product teams.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with a scrum team to refine user stories and assist in planning & refinement activities like Story estimation, Gap Analysis, Feasibility check, etc.
- Work alongside a technical lead to assess different requirements and complete high level system design & architecture and document it.
- Work on a 2-week sprint schedule, which includes – custom development (APEX triggers, LWCs, flows, OmniScripts, etc.)
- Writing Apex test classes to maintain minimum 75% coverage
- Participate in all team ceremonies like JAD sessions, stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.
- 3–5 years of hands‑on custom Salesforce development experience.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Apex (triggers, controllers, Batch, Future, Queueable)
- SOQL/SOSL for large data sets within governor limits
- Experience with complex integrations and data flows across enterprise systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
- Self‑starter who can work independently and push tasks forward with urgency and ownership.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I (PD1) or Platform Developer II (PD2)
- Experience with:
- Financial Services Cloud
- Experience Cloud
- Omni Studio
- Background in complex, highly regulated industries such as financial services.
