Programmer Analyst

Job Summary:

The Programmer Analyst 6 role involves designing, building, testing, and supporting new and existing software applications, including mobile applications for child support services. This position requires collaboration with architects, analysts, and team members to ensure technical solutions meet business objectives and performance standards. The role supports production environments and contributes to continuous improvement efforts.

• Design, develop, and test application programs including new features and enhancements.
• Provide production support by analyzing issues, fixing bugs, testing, and deploying updates.
• Collaborate with Application Architects and Business Analysts to validate functional and technical designs.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in design reviews.
• Analyze requirements and code simple to moderately complex modules ensuring quality and compliance.
• Apply technical, industry, and domain knowledge to project tasks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of coding practices, system performance, and team processes.

• 5+ years of Java with strong object-oriented programming skills and enterprise application development experience.
• 5+ years of Spring Boot experience, including creating RESTful APIs and scalable applications.
• 5+ years of Angular proficiency for developing responsive single-page web applications.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Valid Right to Represent documentation.
• Ability to provide 2 professional references.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and application performance tuning.
• Experience supporting Child Support applications or related programs.

• Hybrid work schedule with mandatory on-site presence on Wednesdays and Thursdays (non-negotiable).
• No remote-only option available.
• Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to Lansing, Michigan at their own expense from day one.
• Interviews are primarily virtual with potential on-site visits if necessary.

• 40 hours per week.
• Hybrid schedule requiring on-site attendance Wednesdays and Thursdays.
