Essential functions (job duties):Job Purpose
The Supervisor, Intramurals & Club Sports, Athletics oversees all aspects of sports programming and external engagement for the Mort Harris Recreation & Fitness Center (MHRFC) within the Athletic Department. This position is responsible for program staff hiring, training, evaluation, and supervision. This position reports to Associate Athletic Director, MHRFC.
Essential Functions- Manage all operations of the club sports program including reserving facility space, club financial operations, participant eligibility, practice and game schedules, participant discipline, equipment selection and purchasing, club sport compliance with MHRFC club sport policies and national governing body policies and assisting in maintaining club sport related facilities. Serve as primary contact for Varsity Brands and Varsity Spirit for Club Sports.
- Manage all operations of the intramural sports program including reserving and assisting in maintaining facility space, maintain/service/upgrade all equipment as necessary, and add and remove sport offerings based on program feedback and local/national trends.
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate intramural and club sports student staff. Keep all staff CPR/AED and first aid certifications current.
- Marketing and Promotion:
Oversee MHRFC social media accounts, ensure MHRFC is represented at tabeling opportunities on all campuses, assist club sport teams in setting up marketing opportunities. - Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science, physiology, kinesiology, nutrition and fitness, physical education, or sports medicine from an accredited college or university. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience).
- Requires 2 or more years’ experience overseeing and running an intramural sports and club sports program.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sports officiating and training intramural sports officials in a wide variety of activities. Experience overseeing a part time staff.
- Requires knowledge of intramural sports and club sports procedures and ability to adapt to new policies and procedures as situations arise.
- Basic knowledge of sports equipment operation.
- Knowledge of sports officiating and the overall sports landscape locally, regionally, and nationally.
- Knowledge of operations.
- Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Ability to train staff and develop subordinate's skills.
- Ability to foster teamwork among staff members.
- Ability to compose clear, concise, and crisp messages.
- Ability to express oneself in large or small groups or one‑on‑one.
- Ability to present to a broad and diverse populations.
- Ability to produce communications that positively affect attitudes and beliefs through inspirational and timely messages.
