With an eye toward future growth, DCFC is preparing for a transformative milestone: the opening of a new stadium, Alumni Fi Field in 2027. To that end, the club is dedicated to winning matches, promoting the sport of soccer, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, authentic storytelling, and making our city a safer and more equitable place.

Detroit City FC is seeking energetic, outgoing, and passionate individuals to join our Hype Squad. Hype Squad Members are a part of the DCFC experience, bringing energy on match days, engaging with fans throughout Keyworth Stadium, and representing the club at community events across Metro Detroit.

This role is ideal for someone who loves connecting with people, thrives in high-energy environments, and isn’t afraid to hype up a crowd (even if they’re not asking for it). This is a community events based job and then matchdays are secondary to this position.

• Represent Detroit City FC at community events throughout Metro Detroit.
• Assist with set up and breakdown of tents, tables, and promotional materials.
• Engage attendees with high energy to draw people to the DCFC booth.
• Encourage sign-ups for DCFC information, promotions, and ticket opportunities.
• Promote upcoming matches and help introduce new fans to the club.

• Actively engage with fans throughout the stadium during matches.
• Hype up the crowd by carrying signs, joining chants, and creating a high-energy atmosphere.
• Serve as a friendly, approachable connection between fans and Detroit City FC.
• Provide directions and answer questions related to Keyworth Stadium, match day logistics, and DCFC.
• Maintain strong general knowledge of Detroit City FC and Keyworth Stadium.

• Comfortable talking to strangers and engaging large groups of people.
• High-energy personality with the ability to hype people up in a positive way.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to engage fans who may be hesitant or unsure.
• Ability to represent Detroit City FC professionally and enthusiastically.
• Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation within Metro Detroit.
• Availability on match days, evenings, weekends, and for community events.
• This position does not require a valid driver’s license.

This job operates in an outdoor events based environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as iPads, phones, tents, and tables.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to exchange ideas and information. This is an active role. The position requires the ability to lift tables and tents, walk carrying items for activities, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
