Trillium is now seeking an Assistant Fleet Manager for Autonomous Vehicle Operations in Detroit, MI!

This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity. Pay rate is $25/hour and this is an on-site role. This is a 12+ month assignment with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs. Schedule is 5 days per week, including weekends, with day and night shifts available. Exact hours will be determined after getting hired.

We are seeking an Assistant Fleet Manager to support the daily operations of our autonomous vehicle fleet. This role assists with supervising vehicle operators, maintaining fleet readiness, coordinating schedules, and ensuring safe, efficient operations. The Assistant Fleet Manager works closely with the Fleet Manager to support a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with scheduling and supervising a team of approximately 50 autonomous vehicle operators.
• Help maintain staffing coverage by coordinating schedules, PTO, training, and attendance.
• Monitor employee timekeeping and ensure accurate reporting of hours worked.
• Support onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism.
• Assist with vehicle readiness, including inspections, maintenance coordination, charging, and cleaning.
• Track operational KPIs, including attendance, fleet utilization, uptime, and schedule adherence.
• Support new fleet launches and continuous operational improvements.
• Coordinate with maintenance and logistics vendors as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
• At least 2 years of fleet, transportation, logistics, or operations experience.
• Experience supervising teams of 15 or more employees. Experience with scheduling, timekeeping, and employee performance management.
• Knowledge of fleet management systems, GPS tracking, and reporting tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work on-site and support a 24/7 operation as business needs require.
