, supporting General Motors operations within a high-volume warehouse environment focused on pick and pack, sequencing, inventory management, and material flow. We are seeking a hands-on Floor Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer expectations are consistently met.
The Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities, leading hourly employees, and ensuring operational goals are achieved. This position serves as a key member of the leadership team and plays an important role in employee development, operational execution, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including pick and pack, sequencing, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material flow activities
- Lead, coach, and develop hourly employees while driving accountability and performance
- Monitor productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and safety performance across the operation
- Ensure materials and customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time
- Provide daily direction and support to warehouse associates while maintaining a positive work environment
- Support employee training, onboarding, and performance management initiatives
- Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Maintain compliance with customer requirements, company policies, and safety regulations
- Monitor labor utilization and support workforce planning activities
- Complete operational reports and communicate performance updates to leadership
- Partner with maintenance, quality, materials, and customer teams to support operational goals
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, safety, and customer service
- Maintain a strong floor presence and actively support day-to-day operational challenges
- 2+ years of leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution operations preferred
- Previous experience supervising hourly employees in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, material flow, and productivity standards
- Experience supporting automotive or high-volume manufacturing operations preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and employee development skills
- Ability to coach employees, solve problems, and drive accountability
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
