Training Technician

Training Technician, GS-1702

Your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate Indian Police Academy (IPA) training and instructional activities such as assisting Instructors with conducting basic and recurring training courses; administering exams; overseeing student feedback sessions; and providing technical guidance to all related aspects of training courses held by IPA.
• Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of training courses. Study/analyze training methods, courses, and instructional devices to recommend, develop, and implement new methods and techniques for accomplishing required training activities.
• Develop, coordinate, and administer program agreements, task orders, statement of work, and interagency agreements for the development and delivery of training courses.
• Coordinate instructional activities to include advising students on policies/procedures, uniform requirements, cultural issues, and student emergencies; assisting with transportation matters; handling graduation requirements; taking care of logistics, schedules and other administrative matters such as registering students, reserving rooms, ensuring classroom set up, etc.
• Maintain training/student data via electronic means and prepare numerous reports and statistical data.
• Resolve a wide variety of training-related problems.
