What You'll DoAs a Financial Services Officer, you will serve as a trusted financial resource for members by identifying needs, providing solutions, and delivering exceptional service.
Member Relationships & Service- Build and maintain strong relationships with members through personalized service and financial guidance.
- Deliver exceptional member experiences through in-person, phone, and digital interactions.
- Educate members on products, services, and financial solutions that support their goals.
- Resolve member concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Interview members and evaluate consumer loan applications.
- Process consumer loans from application through funding.
- Analyze credit information and recommend appropriate lending solutions.
- Ensure lending decisions and documentation comply with established policies and regulations.
- Assist members throughout the lending process while providing exceptional service and communication.
- Open and maintain member accounts, including checking, savings, certificates, and related products.
- Assist members with digital banking, electronic services, and account access.
- Identify opportunities to recommend products and services that enhance members' financial well-being.
- Promote the value and benefits of North Star Community Credit Union membership.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Adhere to all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Protect member confidentiality and sensitive information.
- Support branch operations and assist with special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of customer service, sales, lending, banking, financial services, or related experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trust and establish meaningful relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
