Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Deputy Chief Of Ipa)

As Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Deputy Chief of IPA), GS-1811, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to:

• Providing administrative and personnel oversight of all phases of the Office of Justice Services (OJS) training services programs for the Indian Police Academy (IPA).
• Coordinating training activities between the Division of Law Enforcement Services, Division of Corrections, and the Professional Standards Division.
• Providing guidance to field staff in the examination, verification, and maintenance of training records and ensuring training records are accurately and timely completed.
• Establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with Indian Tribes, Indian Country law enforcement departments, Native American leaders and organizations.
• Providing technical assistance in regards to the training requirements and liabilities of the United States with respect to Native Americans and Alaska Natives.
• Advising senior officials in OJS of actual or probable legislative, and regulatory actions, Federal, state and tribal activities, which may have an impact on the training and/or legal condition of Indian Country.
