Administrative Assistant
Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.
ResponsibilitiesIn a typical week you will:
- Provide office admissions, ready Telemed computers, and assist clients in the registration process.
- Contact insurance companies and assist clients with accessing insurance options.
- Follow up on the needs of clients and support office operations (faxing, emailing, filing, and compiling documents for admissions and referral services).
- Prepare charts and scan documents into the medical program and back up the receptionist.
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task, problem solve, and shift between tasks as needed.
- Leverage knowledge of insurance verifications and processes, and community resources.
Potential for advancement into a leadership or supervisory role for a qualified candidate.
Qualifications- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Two years of office support, clerical, or secretarial work experience.
- coursework in a vocational office support or closely related program may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis if it provides the knowledge and skills required.
