Job ScheduleFull time, 40 hours per week. Shift: 8‑hour daytime. Hours are flexible to accommodate CPE training and clinical supervision.
Job SummaryConduct Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programs in accordance with Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) standards. Maintain accreditation, update program policies, prepare for ACPE reviews, faculty development, and supervise CPE students. Facilitate student orientation, training, and interdisciplinary rounds. Lead professional leadership development and satisfy certification requirements.
Responsibilities- Manage accreditation and standards of ACPE.
- Update student handbooks and program policies.
- Prepare for ACPE accreditation reviews and facilitate professional advisory meetings.
- Recruit, interview, and select candidates for CPE internships.
- Provide direct clinical supervision and develop student‑centered learning curriculum.
- Coordinate student spiritual support with staff chaplains.
- Facilitate orientation and training for CPE students.
- Offer timely feedback and corrective interventions.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and professional leadership development.
- Maintain ACPE Educator certification and pursue continued professional education.
- Master’s level theological degree from an accredited seminary.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience providing spiritual care in an acute or health‑care setting.
- Certified Educator certification required; national faculty preferred.
- Ordination, endorsement, or commissioning by a faith tradition/denomination.
- Board Certified Chaplain or certification‑eligible; must obtain certification within two years of hire.
- Strong understanding of spiritual and human dynamics, existential distress, and relevant rituals.
