** Forklift Operator
** at our
** Carrington, ND
** durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta. The Forklift Operator is a critical part of our warehouse team, responsible for shipping, storing, and receiving inventory as well as providing sanitation support for the entire warehouse.
** Responsibilities:
*** Operate forklift to load, unload, and transfer products, pallets, boxes, and other materials within the warehouse and into trucks and/or railcars according to shipping schedule; operate other equipment for shipping, as needed
* Maintain accurate inventory while storing and loading, practicing first in/first out
* Monitor all equipment for wear and potential damage, and perform related preventative maintenance as required
* Maintain Master Sanitation Schedules and other HAACP documentation, performing scheduled cleaning of equipment
* Re-palletize and rework products, and prepare products for regrind process
* Maintain safety and quality in a high-paced environment

* Qualifications:

*** High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
* Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Experience operating a forklift
* Experience in a food manufacturing facility
*
* Physical Requirements:

** Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
* Crouch, stoop, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periods
* Work in a dusty, high heat/humid environment and confined spaces
** Shift:
** 5:30am-4pm or 4pm-2:30am
