Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Typical schedule is Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Busy season will include Fridays)

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing machinery, including, but not limited to the stamtec, trumpf, roll former, lathe, saw, etc.

• Efficiently and accurately troubleshoot automated equipment and sensors (PLCs), industrial electric systems, motors, bearings, gears, lubrication, vibration, and other mechanical systems and components
• Ability to identify and communicate product quality, defect prevention, product disposition, and rework/repair activities
• Routinely inspect operating systems to ensure they are operating properly, efficiently, and safely
• Capable of reading simple wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting of common electrical problems
• Review and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment
• Assist other team members to get job done, as well as other duties as assigned

• Experience with plant automation systems (PLCs, VFDs, Electrical, Mechanical systems) preferred
• Knowledge of structural and sheet metal fabrication a plus
• Skilled at troubleshooting electronics, control systems and mechanical assemblies
• Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis

• Routinely and continuously walking, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, reaching, and handling
• Ability to lift at least (75) pounds
• Working near moving mechanical parts; near noise routinely, and exposed to outdoor elements
