Job Summary
Altru Hospital – Devils Lake, ND. Registered Nurse (RN) position across RN I, RN II, and RN III levels. The RN provides direct nursing care, patient education, and coordinates care within interdisciplinary teams.
Pay Range- RN I: $33.80 – $50.69
- RN II: $35.49 – $53.23
- RN III: $37.26 – $55.89
- RN I: ASN RN
- RN II: ≥6 years RN experience with ASN/ADN OR ≥3 years RN experience with BSN.
- RN III: ≥12 years RN experience with ASN/ADN OR ≥6 years RN experience with BSN OR Master’s/Doctoral.
- Registered Nurse | North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or Compact State Agreement prior to start date.
- Certifications (within specified time frames): BLS (90 days), ACLS (6 months), NRP (6 months), STABLE (12 months).
- Temporary RN license accepted prior to start; unencumbered nursing license must be held by start date. ND RN Graduate Work Authorization considered for residency cohort.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Perform daily rounds, providing quality customer service and coordinating patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on assessment.
- Assess patient condition, set goals, and prescribe nursing actions, including discharge planning.
- Assess, intervene, and reassess pain promptly per standard operating procedure.
- Identify early warning signs of deterioration and respond accordingly.
- Assist with emergency measures for adverse patient conditions.
- Report observations to the multidisciplinary team and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure prompt interventions or referrals and complete incident reports prior to shift end.
- Communicate and educate patients and families, promoting understanding of care plans.
- Assign or delegate nursing interventions within scope of practice.
- Perform additional duties as required by the department or organization.
Registered Nurse certification (North Dakota Board of Nursing or Compact State Agreement) and required training within designated periods.
