Job SummaryRegistered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the organization. The nurse maintains the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit and facilitates coordination of care within the interdisciplinary team while providing patient education to assure safe discharge.
Pay Range- RN I: $33.80 – $50.69
- RN II: $35.49 – $53.23
- RN III: $37.26 – $55.89
- RN I – ASN
- RN II – 6 years or more RN experience with an ASN/ADN or 3 years or more RN experience with a BSN
- RN III – 12 years or more RN experience with an ASN/ADN, 6 years or more RN experience with a BSN or Masters/Doctorate in Nursing
- Registered Nurses with less than 1 year experience: $12,000
- Registered Nurses with more than 1 year experience: $20,000
- Perform daily patient rounds, ensuring quality service and coordinating any unmet needs.
- Develop a plan of care based on comprehensive assessment that addresses physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental and rehabilitative needs.
- Assess patient condition and nursing needs, set goals, prescribe appropriate actions and include discharge planning.
- Assess, intervene and reassess patient self‑report of pain immediately and act per SOP.
- Identify early warning signs of deterioration and respond according to protocol, contacting clinicians as indicated.
- Assist with or initiate emergency measures for sudden adverse changes.
- Report observations and reactions to the multidisciplinary team and record accurately.
- Ensure prompt intervention or referral when required.
- Complete and submit all incident reports before shift completion.
- Maintain communication and provide educational opportunities to patients and others.
- Begin discharge planning, education and counseling early to optimize understanding.
- Evaluate and document per SOP.
- Assign or delegate tasks within scope to qualified personnel.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to meet departmental needs.
- Registered Nurse licensed by the North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or Compact State Agreement, effective prior to start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, within 90 days of start date.
- Unencumbered RN license required before start.
- RN Residency Cohort and ND RN Graduate Work Authorization consideration, valid up to 90 days after issue.
Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace.
