Position Summary
Field Service Technician I will provide support to the Field Manager related to all areas of operation and repair of Oilfield Pumping Unit equipment. The Technician will be responsible for tasks associated with the operation, rig‑up/down of equipment and tools, and related equipment in the shop, yard, or location, as well as helping to drive process improvements for management and operations.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Under the direction of a Field Manager, perform operation, rig‑up/down of equipment & tools, and related tasks in the shop, yard, or location (equipment used will vary by product line).
- Perform duties focused on installation, inspection, and repair of Oilfield Pumping Units, with technical components as needed.
- Hands‑on manipulation of equipment, machinery or systems requiring precise instrumentation and operation.
- Be trained in operating multiple types of equipment or combinations of equipment/processes (level determined by competency development program).
- Assist with product efforts such as multi‑jack bolt tensioner, beam pumping unit assembly, long‑stroke unit assembly, beam pumping unit inspection, linear pumping unit inspection, unit alignment, pumping unit brake system, pumping unit stroke change, structural bearing replacement, well pump repositioning, and wireline removal and installation.
- Be able to safely deploy to remote geographic assignment locations with limited access to medical care, which may require 4 or more hours travel to reach secondary level medical care.
- Assist with equipment efforts such as bucket truck aerial lift, crane rig‑up, crane load chart site setup, and truck driving.
- High School Diploma / GED from an accredited institution or equivalent pumping unit experience in lieu of a High School Diploma/GED.
- Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required.
- Work at heights.
- Carry various pieces of the pumping unit of substantial weight.
- Perform constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending, and other physical activities.
- Be in the shop environment for a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting.
- Lift objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Be subjected to extreme heat and cold for extended periods of time.
- Experience in field service repair or oil field repair.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Successful candidates will be eligible for up to a $1250 sign‑on bonus.
