We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team at South Hills Old School Nursery in Great Cheverell
.
You will play a key role in creating a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment where children feel valued, supported and inspired every day. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will help deliver high-quality early years education and care while building meaningful relationships with children and their families.
Whether you are a qualified Level 2 or Level 3 practitioner
, or currently working towards your qualification, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and values-led nursery.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or currently working towards one).
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and high-quality early years practice.

- Provide warm, responsive and nurturing care for all children.
- Support learning through play, exploration and curiosity-led experiences.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a joyful, safe and inspiring nursery environment.

The successful candidate will be required to complete:
- An Enhanced DBS check (including the children’s barred list).
- Right to Work in the UK verification.
- Two satisfactory references, including one from the most recent employer.
- Employment history checks, including explanation of any gaps.
- Verification of qualifications and professional status.
- Disqualification checks in line with statutory guidance.
We follow Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and all relevant safer recruitment legislation. Appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks.
