Second Publication:
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued by the Town of Stafford (“Town”) to solicit Proposals from qualified entities for the adaptive reuse of the former and vacant Earl M. Witt Intermediate School building, located at 20 Hyde Park Road in Stafford, Connecticut. The Town invites respondents with the capacity to successfully preserve and reuse the former school building through concepts that promote economic growth, innovative design, long-term sustainability, and new opportunities for the community.
The Town seeks to identify a qualified developer or development team—whether for-profit or nonprofit—with the creativity, experience, and capacity to transform the former school into a dynamic and productive facility. A variety of development approaches are encouraged, including full or partial adaptive reuse, selective demolition, and compatible new construction, with a strong preference for designs that preserve the unique architectural elements of the original structure.
