Maintenance Mechanic

Guardian Glass is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic at our DeWitt, IA plant. Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for ensuring that plant equipment and facilities are kept in good electrical/mechanical repair and working order, enabling a continuous production mode.

The facility operates on a multi-shift schedule to maintain continuous production. Both 10-hour and 12-hour shifts are utilized. Specific shift assignments will be determined at the time of hire based on operational needs and may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

$32.00-$40.00 an hour based on experience.

• Set up and operate equipment and tools required to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, production support equipment, and facility systems, including building and grounds.
• Maintain operational equipment to achieve optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency.

• Experience in maintenance within an industrial, military, agricultural, or manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.

• Two (2) or more years of maintenance experience in an industrial, military, agricultural, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical machine drawings.
• Welding certification.
