Engineering Technician ; Oklahoma , OK

Engineering Technician I – Oklahoma City, OK (Onsite only at 6120 SW 29th Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73179)

We are looking for a Team Member who will work on the production floor with plant technicians at Niagara facilities around the country. The role includes performing diagnostic visits on production lines, participating in line rebuilds/overhauls, and providing support to plants that need assistance.

• Provide plant support to Niagara facilities
• Provide aid and expertise to plant maintenance teams and internal Engineering Technicians
• Aid in repairs on production machinery as necessary
• Provide information on needs for long-term success of facilities, including Focus Line Process Diagnostic Visits
• Identify problems and wear & tear on machine centers for every line
• Perform root-cause analysis for corrective actions
• Develop suggestions for parts and labor needed during annual rebuild/overhaul

• Work on teams of 4 with plant maintenance teams
• Prepare machine centers for repair/rebuild of problems identified during Diagnostic Visits

• Attend machine-center specific master class training as a baseline
• Assist in evaluating Engineering Technicians’ skills on machine centers via a written assessment card
• Assist with the training of Engineering Technicians through an OJT style format
• Suggest machine-center specific training modules needed beyond the OJT system
• Assist with further development and implementation of the OJT style training for our group

Approximately 75% of the year.

• Minimum Qualifications:
• 4 Years experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment
• 4 Years experience in a position
• 2 Years experience managing people/projects (experience may include a combination of work experience and education)
• Preferred Qualifications:
• 6 Years experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment
• 6 Years experience working in the position
• 4 Years experience managing people/projects (experience may include a combination of work experience and education)

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, etc.)
• Ability to work with others and with plant maintenance staff
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a proven record of taking initiative
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Leadership capability when working alone or with teams to complete projects safely and timely
• Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to execute tasks in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
• Sound judgment and ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce
• Required to be considered an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in a machine center pertinent to Niagara Bottlings business needs

Hourly: $21.38 – $28.33
