Engineering Technician III (Aseptic Blow Molding)

Engineering Technician works on the production floor with plant maintenance technicians at Niagara facilities across the country. Responsibilities include ensuring sterile integrity, equipment reliability, and optimized performance of high-speed aseptic bottling lines.

• Provide plant support for Niagara facilities: aid and expertise to plant maintenance teams and internal Engineering Technicians.
• Aid in repairs on production machinery as needed.
• Provide information on long-term facility success and focus line process diagnostic visits.
• Identify problems, wear & tear on machine centers for every line.
• Perform root-cause analysis and propose corrective actions.
• Develop parts and labor suggestions for annual rebuilds/overhauls.
• Work with OEMs and peers to prepare machine centers for repairs during diagnostic visits.
• Participate in annual rebuilds/overhauls.
• Attend machine-center-specific master-class training as baseline.
• Assist in evaluating maintenance technicians’ skills via written assessments.
• Assist in training maintenance technicians through an OJT style format.
• Suggest machine-center specific training modules beyond OJT.
• Assist in developing and implementing OJT style training for the Technical Engineering group.

Approximately 75%+ of the year.

• Minimum qualifications: 4 years in a field or similar manufacturing environment; 4 years high-speed blow molding; 2 years PET bottle processing (experience may include a combination of work experience and education).
• Preferred qualifications: 6 years in a field or similar manufacturing environment; 6 years high-speed aseptic blow molding (Sidel and/or Krones); 4 years experience managing people/projects; participation in overhauls, SATs, or OEM training programs.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).
• Ability to work with others, often in teams of 4 or larger.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with initiative and minimal supervision.
• Leadership capability for both independent and team projects.
• Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Exercise sound judgment and work effectively with a diverse workforce.
• Subject-matter expert in relevant machine center; capable of safe work in environments with corrosive chemicals and stored energy.
• LOTO certification required.

• HS diploma plus formal training in industrial maintenance.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.

• LOTO certification required.

Hourly: $28.90 – $41.91 per hour.
