Administrative Assistant

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Administrative Assistants for a manufacturing company in Dickinson, ND. In this role, you’ll support daily office operations, ensure smooth communication across departments, and provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff. If you enjoy a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and have strong organizational skills, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do as an Administrative Assistant:

  • Answer and route calls using a multi-line phone system in a professional manner
  • Greet visitors, customers, and vendors and direct them to appropriate staff
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, filing, copying, and scanning documents
  • Maintain office supply inventory, including ordering and tracking materials
  • Provide administrative support to departments including Sales, Purchasing, Safety, and Production
  • Coordinate employee travel and assist with training scheduling
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and mail

What You Need to Bring to the Administrative Assistant Role:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of administrative experience preferred (entry-level candidates welcome with relevant skills)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette
  • Ability to type 50–60 WPM with accuracy
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform physical office tasks as needed
  • Reliable transportation to Dickinson, ND
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and/or drug screen, if required
