Automation Technician

We are seeking an experienced System Integrator to support industrial automation and control system projects. This role is responsible for designing, programming, installing, and troubleshooting automation systems while leading technicians and coordinating with customers to deliver high-quality results safely and efficiently.

• Design, read, and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams (AutoCAD Electrical)
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Studio 5000, Logix 500, Red Lion, Beijer)
• Design and implement UL-compliant control panels
• Lead and mentor instrumentation technicians; assign work and promote company culture
• Install and troubleshoot motor controls, instrumentation, and industrial automation systems
• Configure serial communications, Ethernet, copper, and fiber networks
• Coordinate with customers, project teams, and internal departments
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, NEC, OSHA, and hazardous location requirements

• Associate degree in Instrumentation & Controls or equivalent field experience
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment (Oil & Gas preferred)
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC systems, grounding, noise isolation, and process instrumentation
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and Rockwell Automation platforms
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to changing project scopes
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Industrial job sites with electrical, chemical, and environmental hazards
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work at heights, outdoors, and in varying conditions
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed
