Civil Science is currently seeking a qualified Materials Testing Technician to join our team supporting roadway and transportation construction projects throughout western North Dakota. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality and success of our construction materials and roadway projects. This is a seasonal / temporary position based out of our Williston or Dickinson, ND offices.
What You’ll Do- Perform construction materials testing in the field and/or laboratory
- Inspect and test soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete materials
- Document and communicate test results accurately
- Support roadway and transportation construction projects
- Work collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and engineering staff
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards
- Prior experience with construction materials testing in either a field or lab setting
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver’s license
- Preference will be given to candidates with: ACI Level I Certification
- Highway testing experience and certifications such as:
Soils Field Tester - Aggregate Sampler
- Asphalt Pavement Inspector
- Other related certifications
- Previous experience working on NDDOT projects

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass both a criminal background check and driving record review.
