Behavior Technician/RBT, ABA Therapist, Mental Health
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans for clients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will use evidence-based techniques to help clients develop essential life skills, improve communication, and reduce challenging behaviors.
Requirements Educational RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a 40-hour training program in applied behavior analysis (ABA) from a Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) approved provider.
CertificationPassing the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) exam administered by the BACB.
Completion of a background check as required by the BACB.
ExperienceExperience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is often preferred.
Internships or volunteer work in relevant settings may be beneficial.
Skills and CompetenciesAbility to implement behavior intervention plans.
Patience and empathy when working with clients.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Continuing EducationCompletion of ongoing training and professional development as required to maintain RBT certification.
