• At least eighteen months of experience as a CT Technologist in a health care setting
• Must be ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified
• State licensure required in most states
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

CT technologists operate CT equipment, producing cross‑sectional images used to diagnose medical conditions.

• Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment
• Set and monitor equipment controls, making adjustments as necessary
• Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast when applicable
• Dispense oral contrast to patients for scans
• Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in exposure sequence, and label appropriately
• Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions
• Charge procedures and supplies used to the patient record
• Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration
• Deliver quality, cost‑effective patient care professionally
• Maintain an environment of excellence, patient‑focused, providing timely, compassionate care
