The successful candidate will monitor and maintain CAD systems to ensure reliable operations for public safety communications. Key duties include troubleshooting application and interface issues, applying configuration changes, supporting integrations with systems like RMS and mobile units, and performing routine maintenance such as geo-file updates and backups. The role also involves adhering to security standards, documenting processes, assisting with vendor coordination, and providing user support during incidents and critical events.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management and Information Systems (MIS) or a closely related field. Application-Specific technical certifications may be considered for substitution for 1 year of experience.

Experience:

At least three (3) years of technology experience creating or configuring software applications. Related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

License:
Must be able to obtain CJIS Certification.

Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.

This position is physically comfortable; there are no major sources of discomfort in a normal office environment. Extended work hours may be required due to situational emergencies. If designated TIER 1, may be required to stay at the Emergency Center during major events.

PAY GRADE: 23. Salary information:
