The Director of Operations oversees the administrative and operational activities of a particular department or division within the Company, including planning, allocation, coordination and control of the Company’s assets in a way to establish and maintain a high standard of performance, customer satisfaction and expanded market based leading to maximizing Company profits and exceeding established profit objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Works with ethics, honesty, values and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others.
- Develops and sustains an acceptable customer base and participates in marketing activities directed towards expansion of the same.
- Directs the planning and implementation of the regional budget.
- Supervises and maintains acceptable cost levels with the planning and establishment of effective controls on maintenance, repair and other expenses.
- Generates an acceptable level of return on the capital committed to the department.
- Maintains acceptable cost levels according to set budget (salaries, equipment, etc.).
- Supports safety policies and procedures to ensure operations are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with Company policy and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Takes action to reduce and/or control claims involving property damage or personal injury by correcting unsafe acts and conditions, investigating accidents, conducting review board meetings, implementing prevention measures and administering disciplinary actions if necessary.
- Establishes administrative and supervisory skills of subordinates through coaching and having an interest in their careers.
- Ensures the effective staffing of field operating positions; interviews applicants and selects qualified employees; initiates and recommends employee action (promotions, transfers, terminations) based on documented performance.
- Completes all safety and equipment related trainings required on a monthly basis.
- Fosters a positive working relationship with co-workers, branch staff, customers, clients and management.
- Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.

Education RequiredBachelors or better in Business Administration.
Experience RequiredHigh School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or relevant field preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of oil field related experience in a fast-paced environment, with at least three (3) years’ supervisory experience.
Market knowledge.
Must be comfortable in an environment that is occasionally high stress.
Must have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, clients and management.
