Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health & Hospice position in Dickinson, ND, requiring at least 1 year of home health and hospice experience and an active ND or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Home health and hospice setting serving patients across a 60-mile radius around Dickinson, ND, including private homes and nursing homes,

• Patient population includes adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics with home health and hospice diagnoses,

• EMR:
Home Care Home Base,

• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with on-call rotation for evenings and weekends,

• 24-hour on-call coverage required on weekends and holidays,

• Holiday coverage is required,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active ND or compact RN license required; pending licenses will not be accepted,

• Current BLS certification required; pending certifications not accepted,

• Minimum 1 year of home health and hospice RN experience required,

• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance required,

• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,

• Copy of driver's license required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Conducts initial and ongoing assessments, develops and revises individualized care plans, and administers medications and treatments as prescribed,

• Serves as Case Manager when assigned, coordinating care for an assigned patient caseload,

• Communicates with physicians regarding patient needs, obtains orders, and prepares clinical notes at minimum every 60 days,

• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates home health aide care,

• Provides patient and family health education aligned with the plan of care and identifies discharge planning needs,

• Any solid color scrubs are acceptable,

• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any Common Spirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates,

• All requested time off must be submitted upfront; no additional RTO will be approved after submission,
