About the Position

Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Dickinson, North Dakota, 58601!

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Block Scheduling | Every Third Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care in an LDRP unit serving patients 35+ weeks in labor and mom/baby couplets, following AWHONN staffing guidelines (Labor 1:1–2, Postpartum 1:2–3)
  • Titrate and manage drips including Magnesium, Oxytocin, and related antepartum/labor and postpartum medications
  • Monitor fetal status using the OB Trace Vue electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) system
  • Support neonatal respiratory needs including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow equipment as needed
  • Circulate for the baby during C-section procedures in collaboration with the surgical team
  • Float to Med/Surg or ED as needed, primarily for 1:1 patient observation support
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license with eligibility to work in North Dakota
  • Required

    Certifications:

    BLS, ACLS, NRP
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
  • Ability to pass facility fit testing requirements; clinicians with facial hair must be able to pass the Primary or Secondary fit test (3M Aura 1860 or 3M 1870+) — inability to pass fit testing may result in contract cancellation if facial hair cannot be removed
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • Candidates may not be currently employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any facility associated with Common Spirit, including CHI and/or Dignity Health
  • All requested time off (7 days or fewer per 13-week contract) must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a rural or critical access hospital setting with limited specialty resources
  • Strong independent clinical judgment and ability to function effectively with limited NICU backup (nearest NICU is more than 1 hour away)
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a small, close-knit team environment
  • Strong communication skills and comfort with provider consistency in a low-volume, high-acuity setting
