The Dickinson Research Extension Center (DREC) is hiring a motivated individual that will assist with research in the Agronomy Department. The main focus of this position will be collecting data & observations for research on crop production systems in southwest North Dakota and working with small grains in a controlled environmental setting. Some of the responsibilities include assisting in the activities required for the successful execution of field-based agronomy demonstrations and trials, such as note taking, data entry, and other duties that are required to meet the project goals.
WorkSchedule
The regular work schedule is flexible, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Advertised PayStarting pay rate is $10.00 per hour.
Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications- At least 14 years of age
- Computer skills & ability to work with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Complete a background check
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Possess an interest in working with crops grown in southwest North Dakota
- Current resume
