Field Technicians at Alkane are responsible for safe execution, reliable equipment, and professional customer interaction. This role requires discipline, judgment, and accountability in the field—often with limited supervision.

What You’re Responsible For- Service, maintain, and troubleshoot natural gas and diesel-powered equipment at customer sites
- Safely operate and drive company vehicles in varied conditions
- Maintain assigned truck, tools, and parts inventory in a ready state
- Safely transport trailer-mounted generators and support equipment
- Accurately document work performed, parts used, and equipment condition
- Follow Alkane and customer safety requirements without exception
- Maintain required certifications and properly use all PPE
- Support team operations as needed

Qualifications + Requirements Experience + Technical Foundation- Hands‑on mechanical experience with engines, power equipment, or industrial systems
- Familiarity with natural gas or diesel engines (power generation experience preferred)
- Exposure to oil + gas, energy, industrial, or heavy-equipment environments
- Willingness and ability to learn electrical systems, controls, and LNG-related equipment
- (Specific OEMs, PLC platforms, and LNG systems are trained internally as required.)
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing and background screening
- Ability to obtain and maintain required customer and regulatory certifications, including Texas RRC LNG certification
- Functional smartphone with GPS and ability to use company applications
- Ability to document work and communicate clearly using digital tools
- Ability to read, understand, and follow technical documentation and procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English
- Ability to work outdoors, at heights, and around heavy equipment
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, climbing, kneeling, bending)
- Willingness to work extended hours, non-traditional shifts, and respond to call‑outs
- Ability to work in remote locations and varying environmental conditions
