The Field Lube Technician is responsible for supporting field operations by fueling, servicing, and performing preventive maintenance on heavy machinery. This role requires an organized, safety-conscious individual who works closely with operators, supervisors, and the maintenance team to minimize downtime and keep equipment running efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Fuel and service equipment following fueling and spill prevention protocols
- Performs routine preventive maintenance, including greasing and checking fluid levels
- Conducts daily inspections to identify and report leaks, wear, or safety concerns
- Completes minor repairs (e.g., replacing filters, fixing lights, repairing hoses, tightening components) and escalates major issues to mechanics
- Adhere to all safety standards, including proper PPE use, lockout/tagout procedures, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Utilize the Core Values to promote a positive and professional working environment through peer recognition, support, and clear communication while collaborating effectively with teams
- Lead by example and encourage accountability both up and down the chain of command
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hands‑on experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including lubrication services.
- Knowledge of oils, greases, fluids, and basic preventive care for equipment
- Competent in reading service manuals, maintenance logs, and work orders
- Must provide and maintain personal tools and field equipment
- Capable of lifting 50‑70 lbs and working in a variety of conditions, including outdoors and under vehicles.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment
- Required to have a reliable form of transportation to and from work
