The Hydrovac Assistant is an essential part of the Baranko Environmental team, supporting operations through the safe handling of materials and performing non‑destructive, high‑pressure water excavation. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the ability to perform hands‑on work in physically demanding, outdoor conditions. The Hydrovac Assistant is expected to deliver high‑quality service while representing the company in a professional manner.

RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Assist with the setup, daily operation, and upkeep of hydrovac equipment
  • Perform excavation and material removal activities in a safe and controlled manner
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance
  • Assist and dispose of excavated materials in accordance with environmental regulations
  • Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and site requirements
REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience in hydrovac and vacuum truck operations, construction, or a related field preferred
  • Clean driving record with no major violations
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds and perform sustained physical labor
  • Ability to navigate rough terrain or tight spaces on active job sites
  • Must pass a pre‑employment drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment.
  • Required to have a reliable form of transportation to and from work
