Job Summary
:
Our Maintenance Technician is tasked with repairing a variety of kitchen equipment, managing HVAC systems to guarantee functionality, and participating in general upkeep of a commercial facility. This position reports to the Director of Facilities and Construction.

The ideal candidate will be a jack‑of‑all‑trades, with specialty knowledge in either HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and/or plumbing.

Responsibilities
:

• Preventative maintenance and repairs on building equipment including HVAC systems, walk‑in coolers/freezers, motors, compressors, and kitchen equipment
• Mechanical equipment repair, oiling, greasing, belt replacement, and general cleaning of equipment
• Lifting objects heavier than 40 lbs
• Understanding technology‑based systems and ability to navigate them, such as email, Microsoft Office, and apps that merge these systems to your smartphone
• Driving from restaurant to restaurant, sometimes including overnight travel

Qualifications
:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and current auto insurance; a reliable vehicle is required (auto expense reimbursement program in place)
• General facilities maintenance knowledge and skills
• Ability to communicate effectively written and orally
• Sound decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
• HVAC certification preferred
• Will and can‑do attitude
• Self‑motivated
