Overview

Arrow Service Team is looking for a full-time Carpenter to join our Restoration Reconstruction Team of professionals in Dickinson ND.

If you take pride in your finished work and work well in a team environment, this is the job for you. We handle a wide variety of carpentry restoration jobs, primarily restoring an existing property to its pre-loss condition or better.

Responsibilities

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting job specific work orders and blueprints created by various Project Managers.
  • Cutting and installing trim moldings such as base, crown molding, chair rails, and door & window casing.
  • Installing and setting/fitting interior and exterior doors, ensuring proper fit and swing.
  • Installing and setting/fitting prefabricated or repaired cabinets, ensuring they are level and flush.
  • Cutting and shaping and installing prefabricated countertops.
  • Insulation work and installation of wall paneling.
  • Accurately measuring to avoid cut waste and to ensure a smooth fit and finished product.
  • Completion of punch list items for finalization.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Other carpenter duties (as needed):

  • Sub-flooring.
  • Framing.
  • Flooring installation (laminate, vinyl/LVP, boxed goods, etc.).
  • Exterior work.
  • General drywall hanging, cutting, and repair.
  • Fitting and installing windows.
  • Assisting other reconstruction specialists as needed in Demolition and/or Mitigation departments.
Experience and Skills
  • Carpentry experience (2+ years preferred, but willing to train the right person).
  • Familiar with aspects of the carpentry profession, including proficient use of power tools and strong knowledge of building materials.
  • Ability to complete projects in a timely manner with or without supervision.
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt to unexpected changes or challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail, precision, and overall craftsman shift/quality.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team setting.
  • Professional conduct, integrity, and empathy.
Physical Demands
  • Lift (constant) 5-10 lbs, lift (frequent) 10-40 lbs.
  • May involve significant standing/walking, pushing/pulling.
  • Occasional climbing (ladders, scaffolding), balancing, crouching, frequent stooping, reaching, kneeling, and handling.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights (occasionally).
  • Exposure to weather conditions; most jobs indoors (climate controlled).
  • Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud (occasional to frequent).
Pay
  • Starting pay is negotiable and depends on experience, skillset, industry knowledge, and ability (DOE).
  • 90-day review with potential for wage adjustment.
  • Annual reviews thereafter within department cycle (potential for wage adjustment).
  • Participation incentives for after-hours on-call emergency status including time and a half pay, site-visit bonus, and on-call availability bonuses.

Schedule
  • 42 to 46 hours per week, Monday through Friday, typically 7:30am–5pm. Occasional 6:30am starts to accommodate travel distance outside Dickinson ND area.
  • Occasional overnight stays with hotel room paid and per diem provided.
  • Weekly rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies (after 5pm) once ready to participate by management.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Education:

    High school or equivalent.
  • License/Certification:
    Valid and current Driver’s License; reliable transportation to Arrow’s office/shop.
