The Inventory Control Coordinator II is primarily responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels and ensuring compliance with fixed asset procedures and Supply Chain Management directives.
Work Type: On Site
Location: Dickinson, ND
What you will do- Follows and maintains inventory procedures; compiles records regarding quantity, cost and type of materials received, in stock or issued. Restocks service technicians’ trucks with the necessary tools and supplies.
- Prepares reports and conducts physical inventory counts; reconciles results with inventory records and investigates discrepancies in stock counts; ensures accuracy of inventory of spare parts and fixed asset items in the warehouse. Ensures proper maximum and minimum inventory levels; coordinates and communicates with appropriate personnel. Assesses stock supply and reorder status.
- Researches and coordinates purchasing; ensures compliance of purchasing procedures established by Supply Chain Management (SCM).
- Works within current systems to continually improve processes.
- Informs accounting on warehouse distributions; tracks costs value and distribution of both capital and non-capital warehouse items.
- Facilitates semi-annual rig inventories; aids rigs and yards in asset stamping and/or radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies.
- Aids in Rig Asset Management System (RAMS) fixed asset transfers.
- Communicates current inventory with multiple districts to ensure use of inventory.
- Relays communications from the field, to SCM group, including part descriptions, pictures, prices, and validations.
- Assists with international shipments, communicating with Freight Forwarders and/or Custom Brokers, in compliance of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of terminology used for rig supplies and rig equipment
- Thorough knowledge of inventory and fixed asset concepts, practices and procedures
- Thorough knowledge of purchasing, warehousing, distributing and tracking costs of capital and non-capital items
- Basic knowledge of FCPA
- Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Good PC‑based software application skills:
Excel, Word, etc. - Ability to operate forklift, manlift and other material handling equipment
- Ability to plan and organize multiple processes
- Ability to travel as needed
