    Schedule:

    Transition to 7 days per week, 12-hour shifts (7/12s) from approximately October 5 through October 23
    , returning to the standard 5/8 schedule upon completion of the turnaround.
Position Summary

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for supporting warehouse and supply chain operations through the safe and accurate receiving, storage, issuance, and shipment of materials. This role maintains inventory accuracy, utilizes SAP for warehouse transactions, and ensures compliance with company safety policies, inventory control procedures, and operational standards. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, organized, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Warehouse Operations
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Process goods receipts and inventory transactions using SAP.
  • Store materials in designated warehouse locations while maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Pick, stage, issue, and deliver materials to internal customers.
  • Prepare, package, label, and ship outbound materials.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and security.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and material order issues.
  • Identify damaged, missing, or incorrect materials and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Maintain warehouse documentation in accordance with company records retention policies.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
Inventory & Materials Management
  • Assign and maintain warehouse storage locations within SAP.
  • Perform inventory spot checks and assist with physical inventory counts.
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and protected.
  • Safely store and handle hazardous materials in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
  • Perform Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing using a metallurgy analyzer when required.
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe conditions exist.
  • Perform and document daily forklift inspections.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse work areas.
  • Access and utilize Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Standard Practice Instructions (SPIs), and Management of Change (MOC) documentation as required.
  • Verify hazardous materials are properly identified, labeled, and shipped with the required SDS documentation.
Communication & Teamwork
  • Collaborate with supervisors, buyers, supply chain personnel, and internal customers to ensure timely material availability.
  • Assist in resolving purchasing, inventory, and material issues.
  • Support training of warehouse personnel on warehouse systems and processes.
  • Complete all assigned computer-based training (CBTs) and required company training.
Qualifications
  • Experience with warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience and ability to complete daily equipment inspections.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately maintain inventory records and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following established procedures.
