Detail Drafter

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Detail Drafter to convert architectural designs and specifications into accurate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and production documentation.
This role works closely with customers, architects, engineering, production, sales, and customer service to take projects from initial design through fabrication. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret architectural blueprints, specifications, and design concepts.
- Create detailed architectural, shop, installation, and fabrication drawings.
- Develop complete drawing packages and supporting documentation for manufacturing.
- Work with customers and design professionals to clarify requirements and resolve design issues.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production to ensure designs are practical, accurate, and manufacturable.
- Coordinate projects from initial concept through completion while communicating with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Modify and update drawings based on project requirements, engineering changes, and production needs.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Associate's degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 2+ years of drafting experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Solid Works.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and translate them into detailed fabrication drawings.
- Familiarity with sheet metal properties, cutting processes, press brake operations, tooling, and bend calculations is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with different teams.
