Overview
We are designing the grid of the future! We are seeking an Engineer to join our dynamic Owner's Engineering team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in the completion of power system engineering projects, including substations, transmission lines, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar parks, and wind farms. Your electrical engineering expertise will be essential in providing technical guidance in the execution of power generation and substation projects.

- Review electrical engineering designs for power generation and substation facilities, including substations, transmission lines, BESS, solar parks, and wind farms.
- Prepare technical specifications for major electrical equipment, including Main Power Transformers, Inverters, and High Voltage Circuit Breakers.
- Complete technical exhibits for solar parks, BESS, and wind farms EPC RFPs.
- Prepare preliminary electrical design packages for power generation and substation facilities, including substations, transmission lines, BESS, solar parks, and wind farms. This comprises the preparation of single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, layouts (solar, BESS, substation), equipment and panel elevations, and relay diagrams.
- Support with the execution of detailed engineering packages, including document controlling, revision tracking, picking up comments and producing deliverables compliant for permitting or construction on both electrical generation and infrastructure projects.
- Provide expert electrical engineering advice for power generation and substation projects.
- Provide technical support during the procurement process of major electrical equipment, including Main Power Transformers, Inverters, High Voltage Circuit Breakers, BESS, solar panels, etc..
- Witness factory acceptance testing for major electrical equipment.
- Perform in-factory and on-site inspection of major electrical equipment.
- Manage projects related to electrical power facilities, ensuring efficient execution within budget constraints.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering design and review for renewable power generation, energy storage, and substation facilities.
- Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, and NFPA standards applicable to renewable power generation, energy storage, and substation facilities design.
- Ability to provide technical guidance on power generation and substation projects.
- Project management experience in the field of electrical power facilities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to change.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering with relevant training in power systems engineering and renewable energy.
- 2 years minimum experience in electrical design for power generation and substation facilities.
